Meet Taunya
Taunya brings a unique perspective that offers a whole-person, transformative approach to psychotherapy. She works with individual adults to identify and work through barriers to access more authenticity, growth, and self-empowerment. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, transitions, stress or burnout, career, men’s or women’s issues, and relationships. She especially enjoys working with meaning and purpose.
“Whether you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life’s challenges, I strive to hold empathy and compassion, providing a supportive space for your growth. I’d be honored to help you move beyond barriers, discover hidden strengths, and connect to your innate creativity.”
What brought you to counseling?
Amidst my first career in a creative field, my own inner work led me to discover a deeper calling. Through the lenses of embodiment, creativity, and depth psychology, I integrate my training and lived experience to help you access more of your authentic self.
What’s it like to work with you?
My trauma-informed style blends depth psychology, Jungian psychotherapy, person-centered and somatic-oriented therapies, as well as creative expression. We might work with emotions, sensations, thoughts, beliefs, movement, behaviors, and archetypal imagery to facilitate the change process. I work collaboratively, experientially, and flexibly to meet your needs.
What’s something personal about you?
My interests include pottery, writing, gardening, nature-based activities, and yoga. I enjoy life-adventuring with my husband. And there is always something more to learn!
